Yesterday, June 23rd, 2010 marked the anniversary of me coming into this world. I know I was born under a new moon. I know I was born during lunch hour on a Sunday afternoon. I know that it was raining and my Bapa knew when I was born just as, years later, I knew when he died. I feel a sense of profound balance today. I did everything I wanted to do. I got presents that I didn't expect which made them all the more beautiful.
I got two lovely poems that mean a lot to me from one of my "son's" friend. Here they are, grammar issues and all.
some say your clever some say your genius some feel alive when you're around some feel dead when your not some say you're an angle knocking on Heaven's door some say you're presence comes on like a blood stained hurricane But it is true about the way I feel was promised by your face the sound of your voice painted on my memories painted on our thoughts and emotions and some say looking into your eyes is like sitting in yellow hay on a gray day You are the sunshine of our life But I say you're all the above.
Poem II So I Run Hide and tell myself I'll start again with a brand new name and eyes that see into infinity I will disappear I told you once And I'll say it Again ever get the feeling your gone I'll show you the way I'm goin so I run Hide and tell myself I'll start again with a brand new name and eyes that see into infinity I will disappear.
From my beautiful friends David and Jennifer and their son Jonathan I got perfect gifts. David has my sense of humor. He gave me the funniest gift I've ever received since I got the keyring to get me out of jail should I get arrested again. Here is Bartholomew:
Note the pretty flowers that Yarrow gave me, they're so fragrant. I love them!
They also gave me something that I have never been given in all my life. They gave me this beautiful, perfect double pearl ring which is one of my birthstones. I can't believe they did this. It's just perfect.
Yarrow gave me a colorful wooden necklace that we picked up at the Lavender Festival last weekend, but she went an extra step. They gave me a silver circle necklace that reads: "Live, Laugh, and Love". It's one of my most thorough life philosophies. I try every day to follow each one carefully and fully. They completely embodied how I live my life.
AND, if that weren't enough! They also gave me such lovely cards that they brought sentimental tears welling up in my eyes. Their son gave me a card that bleeps out the word shit which amuses me to no end.
My friend Andrea also gave me a fantastic smiling Buddha which I wear nearly nonstop. I love it.
I got birthday wishes from all of my friends with the promise of my party Saturday being well attended. I just can't imagine being any more blessed than I already am. I can't imagine being any more grateful for my Circle Sisters: Dawn, Mari, Yarrow, and our new addition Skylar. I'm so dang happy!
This year I am going to live my life each day. I'm going to try not to sweat the small stuff. I'm going to believe that I can do what needs to be done no matter how difficult. I'm just so darn blessed. I can't say that enough.
I love you all. Thank you for making my birthday memorable and perfect.
We love you Mare, it gave us great pleasure to give you the gifts we did, though they are only small tokens compared to the love and generosity that you share with all of us. Many blessings on this next year of your life.

24/06 : And so another year passes
I got two lovely poems that mean a lot to me from one of my "son's" friend. Here they are, grammar issues and all.
some say
your clever
some say
your genius
some feel
alive when you're around
some feel dead when your not
some say you're
an angle knocking
on Heaven's door
some say you're presence
comes on like a blood stained hurricane
But it is true about the way
I feel
was promised by your face
the sound of your voice
painted on my memories
painted on our thoughts
and emotions
and some say
looking into your eyes
is like sitting in yellow hay
on a gray day
You are the sunshine of our life
But I say you're all the above.
Poem II
So I Run
Hide and tell myself
I'll start again
with a brand new
name
and eyes that see into infinity
I will disappear
I told you once
And I'll say it Again
ever get the feeling your gone
I'll show you the way
I'm goin
so I run
Hide and tell myself
I'll start again
with a brand new name
and eyes that see
into infinity
I will disappear.
